Where Rivers Meet
"Where Rivers Meet' is the perfect description for Kananaskis Country. The local Stoney First Nations people that live in the Kananaskis area have always referred to the Kananaskis as "ozada," Ozada does mean “where rivers meet” in the Stoney Language.
Exploring the Kananaskis Valley is a wonder in itself only excelled by hiking its many fine hiking trails, or maybe fishing for cutthroat in some of the streams that have their origins in these mountains that border the Kananaskis Valley.
After 50 years of hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, ice-fishing, camping, and cross-country skiing in the winter months amongst other activities, my family and I have never tired of visiting this special place called Kananaskis Country.
