Cool Runnings
My daughter Jennifer and I were out checking on wild birds in Fish Creek Park located in south Calgary recently. The temperatures were hovering in the -25 Celsius range creating opportunities for photos such as this of the Bow river bordering the park.
Surprisingly enough, we saw less birds than usual, although the Chickadee's and Nuthatches were doing their thing as they went about looking for things to eat..
We had brought black sunflower seeds along to sprinkle on the plowed pathways where the Chickadees quickly zeroed in on the seeds.
