Streamside
With fall fishing upon us, I hit the river casting a grasshopper imitation hoping to entice big trout to take my offering.
What you do is wade out into the river, and then cast back towards the river bank dropping the grasshopper imitation onto the bank. Then carefully reel in the grasshopper imitation allowing it to fall on the water as if the grasshopper fell off weeds bordering the river.
Of course the idea is to select a likely looking spot where a large trout is lying in wait for this exact situation to occur.
