Mount Everest Expedition
Although the calendar says its spring, its still kinda wintery in Kananaskis Country surrounding the Kananaskis Lakes.
If you look close near the center of my photo, the wooded hill (small mountain) sticking out in front of the mountain range in the rear has a cool hiking trail that takes you to a high lookout point between the Upper and Lower Kananaskis Lakes.
The trail's original name was Interlakes trail and was renamed in honor of the first Canadian to summit Mount Everest in 1982.
This 2 kilometer hike is perfect for those with young kids, our daughter having hiked it with us when she was about 4 years old.
