Egg Crate Sky
Although there were reports of the possibility of tornados forming up across southern AB on this evening, these mammatus clouds that I shot the photo of were not a sign that a tornado was about to form.
There is a misconception that this is true, but while associated with thunderstorms, mammatus clouds are not necessarily a indicator of severe weather.
Mammatus clouds or upside down clouds are formed by the sinking of moist air into dry air.
Regardless, they are kinda cool to look at!
