Switch It Up
Its interesting as how things evolve in the grand scheme of things over time, and in this case the camera kit that I leave the house with these days.
Seen here is a messenger bag that is actually a camera bag on the inside. Now having said that, I couldn't begin to think about stuffing all my DSLR gear into this bag, as the kit used for my DSLR equipment consist of two good sized backpacking camera bags to fit all my equipment into not counting a tripod.
Off and on I've mentioned that I've been shooting with a couple of Fujifilm mirrorless cameras that I acquired in the last several years, and over that time I still found myself only using them when I wanted to lighten my load and out tramping around with my bow. Then a funny thing happened, as I acquired more fujifilm lens allowing me to compete with my DSLR cameras, I came to realize the fuji's were more than competing with my DSLR cameras, the proof the photos being shot.
In fact I haven't taken my DSLR kit out of the house in months other that a body with my 500 mm lens used for wildlife photography. Even then I've been admiring a new fuji 100-400mm lens that I'm thinking seriously of pulling the trigger on.
So there you have it, I'll not upgrade my DSLR kit ever again, but I have made the transition to a mirrorless camera system that is smaller and lighter takes terrific photos and I’m loving it.
The photo was shot with a Fuji camera & lens of course!
