Home Sweet Home
While out in Kananaskis Country on a beautiful fall day, a stop at the Rock Glacier was in order to check out if any Pika's would be out sunning themselves.
We were pleased to see several of the residents out and about.
For the record, if your not familiar with Pika's, maybe haven't ever seen one, they are actually related to rabbits, and measure about 4" in length. They live in rock piles located in the Rockies. Pika's do not hibernate, but survive by eating the various grasses and flowers they gathered and dried all summer, storing these grasses for the winter months.
