Setting Traps
Camera traps that is, and with signs of a cougar in the area, that is what I have hope of capturing with the trail camera seen in the insert photo set up to shoot video.
I'll return in a couple of months to check on the camera, and that
will include changing out the battery, and switching out the memory card.
It's important when setting up trail cameras, to disturb the immediate area surrounding the trail cam as little as possible, and I also spray the area down with a earthy scent that is meant to mask human scent, that could potentially keep wildlife away from the area.
Because of the shyness of cougars, I chose to set up a completely stealthy trail camera, that cannot be detected while shooting infrared HD video at night.
