Close Encounters of the Coyote Kind
While out proofing my recently acquired MOLLE pack (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment), I noticed a coyote disappearing over a ridge nearby.
Upon closer observation I believe there is a coyote den just in front of my location at about 100 meters away in this photo.
Earlier I saw a pair of coyotes nearby, and then one disappeared into a small wash while the other coyote kept watch nearby.
I will be back at a later date to see if young coyote pups put in an appearance.
If your not familiar with MOLLE packs, the system's modularity is derived from the use of PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) webbing as rows of heavy-duty nylon stitched onto my pack, to allow for the attachment of various MOLLE-compatible pouches and accessories as seen attached.
