The Private Reserve
Recently I noticed that there were American Pelicans hanging out on this backwater, part of the Bow river south of Langdon Alberta, and up-stream of Johnston's Island.
They were not exactly easy to get close to because of the terrain, and after approaching as close as I could, I shot this environment shot with a 700mm lens from a high vantage point through the early morning fog filled skies.
If you noticed, there is also a Cormorant plying his trade nearby on the left.
