Camera Trap Setup
Arriving at the place where I would set one of my camera traps, I am making sure its good to go before mounting it to a tree.
Once fastened to the tree, I then check that the camera is adjusted as to the angle and viewing area that I want to cover.
This is done by placing the camera in test mode, and as you walk the area it is supposedly covering, a red LED is triggered by my movent in the viewing area.
Once I'm satisfied with the setup, I then set the camera in its operational mode, lock it down, and then leave the area,
I will give it 6 weeks or so before returning to see what resides on the memory card, and if it meets with my satisfaction, I will possibly change the batteries out for a fresh set, back the card up, format it, and leave it for another 6 weeks to 2 months.
