Wild Species
At Sunrise God said....."Let's Start Again"
With the sun painting the skies from beneath the horizon this day was starting out to be a stunner.
With spring migration underway the skies were filled with the sound of waterbirds preparing to make their way to the surrounding fields for morning brunch.
The sound exiting the speaker of my HF rig and filling the space within my mobile also was music to my ears, as the bands were alive and well on this morning as dawn breaks on the eastern horizon.
Still on this morning the bands would have to wait until I shot the photos that I had come for.
I actually had just left my mobile, and was about to make my way over to the wetlands that bordered the field that I was parked beside.
There was a flock of Tundra Swans sitting on the water that were cackling in the bre-dawn darkness.
I could see them easily enough through my binoculars, but I wanted to get somewhat closer for when they took to the skies headed to fields nearby to feed.
The insert photo is one I shot about a half hour later in the early morning light as this group of Tundra Swans made their way through the sun filled skies to fields neighbouring the wetlands.
If you look real close at the bottom left corner just in front of my mobile, you can see 3 Tundra Swans winging their way over the wetlands that I was headed for with my camera.
