Shadows
Another beautiful morning on the grasslands of southeastern Alberta out roving with my bow.
Of course I always carry a camera as well, although photography is not my number 1 reason to be out and about on a morning like this, so I carry my favorite fixed-lens pocket camera that I can ignore unless needed as in this case.
I have mentioned before that more and more I always have one of my Fujifilm mirrorless cameras with me when I want to travel light, and in no way feel compromised by not carrying my big and heavy DSLR, a pain to deal with on these early morning outings.
Something I love about Fujifilm cameras is the six unique film simulation modes that may be selected representing films that myself and others shot with when film ruled. They are Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Pro Neg STD, and Pro Neg HI.
Of course when film ruled, those of us that embraced landscape photography, shot with Fujifilm Velvia for the most part, although I probably shot more Kodak Kodachrome film.
The above photograph was shot with Velvia selected, a jpeg created in camera as seen here, with no post done.
