Trails Across The Prairies
Wetlands
Well I guess thats an exaggeration on the wetlands, but the grass was sopping wet after a rain shower went through just before I arrived for a hike along the ridges of the river valley.
Being I always have my gators with me, I put them on to keep my lower legs from getting soaked through while walking through the tall grass.
Enjoyed getting out with my bow for a change, as I'd got involved with other things over the last week or so kyboshing that.
I also am waiting patiently for another new bow I ordered up to arrive in the mail. Its getting closer based on the tracking information I am using to keep track of the bow.
The new bow I’m waiting for is an English longbow and it should be fun to shoot as its a very traditional design being 72" in length without a cutout in the riser for the arrow, but in use the arrow rests on your hand before being released. To protect my hand holding the bow, I also purchased a bowglove made for this purpose.
Once I have the new bow in hand, I'll switch out the side quiver seen in this photo for my more traditional over the back leather quiver that will compliment the new English longbow.
