Trails Across The Prairies
On The Land
With the temperatures once more slated to reach 30+ on this day, an early morning outing casting arrows about before the heat of the day began was in order.
Maybe of interest to those of you who enjoy archery, in the photo I am carrying my slick stick hybrid longbow that is a more compact version of the traditional longbow such as my Bear Montana that I own as well, however I do enjoy my hybrid stickbow seen here, as it is extremely smooth shooting with no hand shock when an arrow is released from it.
On another note all my bows are equipped with Fast Flight+ Flemish twist bow strings having replaced the original bow strings the bows came with, giving my stickbows greater arrow cast.
Be aware that your traditional stickbows need to be built with reinforced ends such as micarta overlays on the limb tips if installing fast flight Flemish twist bow strings or damage to the limbs may occur when releasing arrows.
Well back to roving, with targets awaiting, some hidden in the grass, others more noticeable, but all of them made for instinctive shooting with a stickbow.
