Looking for Plains Bison
Beautiful morning to be out tramping around in the grasslands with spring happening everywhere.
The Buffalo Beans are presently blooming, and I look forward to seeing them every spring while visiting the grasslands.
Buffalo Beans signify that it is time to hunt Plains Bison.....

The slopes that I'm standing on overlooking the Bow River valley, is the area where the headquarters of the LK Ranch was established in the late 1800's.
If you expand the photo and look close just to the left of the string silencer (fur piece) on the left in the photo, you can just make out the remains of the sandstone foundation that the barn sat on.
