Trails Across The Prairies
Transitions
Being November and the days getting cooler, it was only a matter of time that I would reach for a heavier jacket than what I have been wearing up until now while out on the land.
Of course I can layer up as the temperature drops allowing me to add or reduce layers as the day progresses while out tramping through the grasslands.
Still, my favorite jacket or should I say 'Jackets" are the two wool outdoor jackets that I own, one of them a pull-over wool jacket seen here that I'm wearing on this morning outing. Not only does a wool jacket provide warmth, but wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture and remain dry to the touch.
I own a bunch of synthetic jackets made up of the latest and greatest materials keeping you warm and dry under extreme conditions, however there is something about a wool jacket that keeps me reaching for one when I'm headed outdoors on a cooler kinda morning such as this one only missing the snow.
