Bedded Down
While hiking along the ridges overlooking the valley that the Bow river flows through southeast of Calgary, I came up on these mule deer bedded down for the day on a south facing slope where they were soaking up the sunshine.
There actually were about 7 0r 8 mule deer does, however they were spread out across the hillside, with these two the closest to me. I did not attempt to get any closer, as I didn't want to risk spooking them from their beds.
