Trails Across The Prairies
Grassland Hunter
With several days of rain happening across Southern AB recently, and although conditions were improving, I couldn't stand sticking around the house any longer, so I grabbed my gear and headed out.
Once arriving at my destination, and before leaving the truck behind, I put on my rain camo jacket, as I figured I'd get caught in a shower or two before arriving back to where I'd left my truck parked.
I also wore my gaiters protecting my lower legs as the grass would be sopping wet from overnight rain and showers happening off and on.
Over the course of several hours I did experience several rain showers although nothing of any consequence. While roving about with my bow, I found that I was enjoying the rapidly changing skies as the clouds moved across the sky with rain showers happening adding to the mix.
I find that clouds are what make the sky look so interesting, and as one begins to study the vast number of possible cloud forms and varieties, one realizes that there is more to discover than there is time to observe!
I've always said while talking about photography that blue skies without any clouds present are boring, doing nothing for most photos you shoot.
