Primitive Archer
With most of the bows in my arsenal being of the traditional type of longbow, I do have a more primitive type of bow that dates back to the more basics of archery.
The bow I'm making reference to is the self-bow seen in this photo, a bow that is made from a single piece of Hickory, does not have an arrow cutout, requiring that the arrow be shot off the hand holding the bow.
There's no doubt that this longbow is somewhat more challenging to shoot than my other more traditional bows, however it's what keeps me challenged when I'm out roving on a beautiful fall morning just after sunrise.
