Trails Across The Prairies
Many Hats
As the old saying goes "I wear many hats" and on this day I left my bow & arrows at home while taking on the role of a nature photographer.
You may think I'm lightly loaded as far as photography gear goes on this day, however my mirrorless camera seen here is a joy to carry compared to one of my heavy DSLR's and lens. Besides the medium telephoto lens mounted on the body in the photo, I have several prime lens along as well that more than cover my needs on the day.
Of course I don't go anywhere without my very capable mirrorless pocket camera that was used to shoot this photo while propped on a clump of willows. . I also leave my large professional tripod at home, but if a tripod is required I carry my snow-peg rest as seen in the photo, equipped with a mini-ball head for the times I need a tripod.
