Trails Across The Prairies
Gear Testing
With hunting season fast approaching, I thought I'd better limber up my hunting bow that had been languishing in the house most of the summer, having taken second place to my Slick Stick hybrid longbow that I'd been carrying all summer.
Along with my Bear Montana longbow I brought along arrows tipped with broadheads to make sure that they fly similar to the Judo points I normally have screwed in to the ends of my arrows.
If you expand the photo, you can see an arrow equipped with a broadhead, and a second arrow equipped with a Judo point next to it.
The Judo point equipped arrows I use while roving through the grasslands, as they are next to impossible to lose when shooting at distant targets sticking out of the grass.
Both the Judo Points and the broadheads I use are both 125 grain in weight, however the broadheads fly somewhat different due to the different profile. Needless to say its important that the broadhead equipped arrows are shot to check on how they fly, and their point of impact down range.
