Sometimes it's all about timing and being in the right place at the right time. So I'm driving east on highway 22 just east of Indus AB just before sunrise, and with a glance to the southeast I spot the headlights of a westbound train on the Brooks sub.
With traffic very light, I decide to pull over and stop on the shoulder nearing the top of the overpass that the train will cross under. With my hazards on, I step out of the truck and use the guardrail to rest my camera on to take the shot.
Just so you know the traditional looking elevator is located on the Winters Farm, and the elevator seen in the distance is the Viterra grain terminal.
