I happened along about the time this Intermodal freight train was leaving Conrich northeast of Calgary on the Three Hills sub.
I stopped to shoot this photo near a rail crossing, where a CN employee with his maintenance truck was also parked. We had an interesting conversation about track buckle, and the fact he would be following this freight train up to Three Hills to watch for track that had shifted laterally due to the ambient temperatures having exceeded the neutral rail temperature when the rail had been laid.
Nice guy, very informative.
