This gallery has been one of my most successful to date for purchases of my photos.
The Meeting Place
CP 8909 is seen crossing over the railway bridge that spans the reservoir located at Seebe AB.
In actuality the CP railway bridge is located on the narrow part of the reservoir, where the Kananaskis river joins the Bow river behind the dam owned by Trans Alta Utilities.
I actually had arrived 10 minutes earlier, allowing me to choose a location to shoot photographs of the passing train with CP 8731, and CP 8640 the lead locomotives powering this stack train along with CP 8909 at the tail end.
With the sun backlighting the rail bridge, I decided to make the best of it and include the sun in my photograpgh of the passing train, with fill flash illuminating the side of the train buried in the shadows.
