This gallery has been one of my most successful to date for purchases of my photos.
G3 Carmangay
G3 elevator is under construction at the south side of Carmangay AB. The elevator will be open for business in 2020, and will be serviced by CP Rail.
Quite unigue is the loop track that is being built at the same time, that will allow for trains with 150 grain hoppers to be filled before looping back to the main track.
G3 says that they will be able to unload a super-bee in under 5 minutes!
Talking to one of the locals who originally sat in on the meeting where the proposal to build this elevator was presented to the town folk of Carmangay, this is a 65 million dollar project, and the elevator will have 14 full time employees once in operation.
Also under construction is another G3 elevator at Irricana AB, slated to open in 2020.
