Trains and Such
This gallery has been one of my most successful to date for purchases of my photos.
For Old Time Sake
I shot this photo close to 40 years ago and the negative hadn't seen the light of day for all of that time, residing in one of my negative storage binders.
Once I digitized the negative and had it up on my computer screen, I was somewhat puzzled as to where I had shot the image.
I thought it was shot on the Red Deer sub that crosses the Bow river, however I'm used to shooting from the south end looking north, and this image was actually shot from the north side of the Bow where Nose Creek enters the Bow river.
Anyway it looks like it was early spring as the trees are not quite filled out.
Love seeing that vintage locomotive (I believe an SW 1200) and the boxcars of the same era.
The girder bridge is still in operation, however the old telegraph line is long gone.
