Red Light/Green Light
On a very foggy morning with the sun still below the horizon, although the breaking dawn visible through the fog, the tailend of this westbound grain train clears the signal lights at mile 157 on the Brooks sub.
Of course it goes without saying which way the train is moving, with a red light visible on the signal visible in the photo.
If you could see the opposite side signal facing the on-coming westbound train, the engineer was seeing a signal that was green.
