Crab Orchard and Egyptian Railway
After shooting photos of this CP grain train passing this privately owned elevator located near Indus AB on the Brooks sub, and then looking closer at the results , I spotted this COER hopper in the bunch.
COER is the acronym for "Crab Orchard and Egyptian Railway" a Class III common carrier shortline railroad that operates in the cities of Marion and Herrin in the Southern Illinois region as a rule, long ways from home on this day.
