Trains and Such
This gallery has been one of my most successful to date for purchases of my photos.
Morning Glow
CP 8909 the lead locomotive of a train westbound on the Brooks sub in the early morning light.
Just after sunrise or just before sunset, there is a short window of opportunity to shoot photos that allow the yellows and reds to paint your images in ways very pleasing to the eye.
Its got to do with the amount of air between you and the sun, there being more of it at sunrise (or sunset) that allow only longer wavelengths to get through, the shorter wavelengths being on the blue side, and the longer wavelengths being on the red side.
So at sunrise (or sunset) the shorter wavelengths are pushed aside, and the longer wavelengths get through allowing the orange yellows and reds to shine!
