CMQ 9021 and CMQ 9023 sitting in the Manchester yard located in southeast Calgary earlier this morning waiting to go to work. Calgary has approximately 10 cm of fresh snow laying on the ground that fell over night as seen in the photos.

Since Canadian Pacific acquired Central Maine & Quebec in the fall of 2019, it was only a matter of time before railfans in western Canada got to see some of the CMQ locomotives that began to show up here in Alberta.

They certainly have generated a lot of interest amongst railfans that have been going the extra mile to see them in action and photograph them.

CMQ now owned by CP owns 481 miles of rail lines located primarily in Quebec and Maine. This acquisition will provide CP customers with access to ports at Searsport, Maine, and to Saint John, New Brunswick, via Eastern Maine Railway Co. and New Brunswick Southern Railway.
