Trains and Such
This gallery has been one of my most successful to date for purchases of my photos.
When CW Ruled
Dots and dashes filled this CPR Telegraph building for three decades, as railway passengers sent and received telegrams during their 20-minute stopover in Field BC.
The arrival of telephones in 1961 prompted a new era, and the operator’s busy switchboard blinked like fireflies until 1979 before this telegraph station was closed for good.
Cool historical building regardless, and the trains are still passing by as this one did while I stopped by recently to shoot this photo of the telegraph building that dates back to 1931.
