A Different Perspective
If you chase after train photos, there is an invisible line you don't cross that keeps you safe from the train you are photographing.
In this photo of a passing train, I set up the remote controlled camera with a 24mm lens at track level, and positioned quite near the tracks.
I positioned the camera assembly on a stack of ties that were lying along side the track.
There are times that changing the camera’s angle and playing with perspective can yield some pretty interesting results.
