Recent Arrival
I recently added a Plymouth ML-8 industrial switcher to my DCC (Digital Command Control) HO industrial switching layout. This tiny 25 ton switcher is proving to be an essential part of my layout, being able to easily access areas not accessible by the SW1200RS switchers.
As you can tell from the photo, #46 has already acquired a coating of grim from the hard work it has been subjected to since arriving.
In actuality the ML-8 was new in the box, so weathering was in order after first assigning it the number 46, as all DCC locomotives with a decoder on board are assigned #003 from the factory. So the first order of business was to place it on the programing track and reprogram it with the unit number you will use, and in this case I went with 46 which I stenciled on both sides of the cab as seen in the photo.
Just so you have something to scale the photo with, the 'No Trespassing' sign mounted on the chain link fence measures a 1/4' across.
