Birds of Summer
After a lot of cloudy starts to the day's recently, and self isolating at home, with a forecast promising clear skies on this morning, I was out of the house bright and early for a run east of Calgary checking out the action on the Brooks sub.
With my scanner telling me that an eastbound stack train tripped the detector located at mile 163 at Shepard AB 10 minutes earlier, I left my truck behind, walking west along the Brooks sub till I liked how I would be able to frame the stack train along with the Viterra grain terminal located just east of Indus AB.
Lot's of B-train farm trucks delivering grain to the elevator, probably because of the sidings filled with grain hoppers making room in the elevator.
While on my walk-about with my camera in hand, it was very enjoyable to see the sloughs filled with recent migrating birds of summer arriving for the summer breeding season.
