The Collectables
Part of history, steam locomotive CP 29 originally built in Montreal in 1887, and diesel f-unit CP 1400 dating back to the 1950's.
This beautiful pair of locomotives now grace the grounds of Canadian Pacific headquarters located in the Ogden district of Calgary.
I shot the photo the day after 1400 was lowered in place with two Mammoet cranes beside steam locomotive CP 29.
At the time I shot this photograph, the number boards and Beaver shield still needed to be installed on CP 1400.
Today they are in place, as well as the display fence having been installed around CP 1400.
The grounds are also finished, with the grass much greener today than when I shot the photo in early spring.
