Early morning the crew of this loaded G3 unit grain train arrives by taxi from Calgary to prepare the train sitting on the loop track at the new G3 grain terminal located just south of Irricana for departure.

In the photo you are seeing both ends of the 150 unit grain train, with engines at either end visible in the photo. I find it interesting how the train fills the loop track to the point that the engines located at the front and back of the train are in close proximity to each other almost closing the loop.

It was interesting to observe the crew moving the train out onto the Three Hills sub where it traveled north with me chasing up to Three Hills for photos shot along the way.
