Antenna Werks - Shop Werks
In this photo, I am busy turning mast and whip adapters from brass stock.
In the May edition of the ARRL club journal QST, I have a construction article on building a 17 meter HF antenna for mobile operations.
Because I felt that some of the guys might have problems sourcing these two adapters, I am listed in the materials list, as one of the sources for these two items keeping me at my lathe turning them out.
I am pleased to report that guys are building my antenna.
How do I know you ask...by the orders that are coming in for requests for these two adapters.
For a closer look at the adapters, one in the chuck, and one standing by my vernier caliper, click on the photo.....
The dissembled PL-259 connector standing by the whip adapter, is my go-no-go gauge for checking the 7/16th's X 14 tpi thread that I am cutting, indicating when it has been cut to the proper dimensions.
