Bandsaw Vise Modifications
As simple as this modification was to make to my bandsaw, it has proven to be a god-send for those times that you are attempting to make a cut to a short piece of material, that causes the rear of the front jaw to pivoit and allow the material clamped in the vise to shift.
I drilled and tapped the rear of the front bandsaw vise jaw, for the addition of the 1/4 by 20 adjusting screw you see in the photo. In use, the adjusting screw is adjusted up against the rear jaw, the spacing of the material clamped in the vise.
This allows the short piece of material being sawed, to be held securely without shifting.
