From the Bottom Up
Having just completed the building of this tripod in my shop, the tripod to be used to support a Max Gain systems push up mast used to support antennas in the field, I am giving it a final inspection making sure that I have everything covered in the construction.
The tripod as designed and built is quite heavy in weight, although once set up on location, there are three 12" steel spikes to stake it down to the ground, making sure that it doesn't go anywhere. The plan is for the push-up mast to be guyed in place as also.
The tripod is not for myself, but for another ham who commissioned me to build it for him.
