VE6AB Antenna Werks
Snow Eater
Well I wasn't the one eating much snow on this wind blown landscape, but with a Chinook arch nicely formed up on the western horizon, hopefully some of this snow will disappear, although I won't get my hopes up.
Still, it was a good morning while out playing in the snow, what with the bands open, and my first contact of the day was made on 17 meters with W1AW, the Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Station, located on the grounds of ARRL Headquarters in Newington, Connecticut.
What's the coil for you ask....why it's my power gain advantage on 17 meters, and part of my RRC (Really Rugged Coil) antenna system that I designed some time ago, and continues to evolve as I add more bands to this antenna system.
