Air Gun Repair
The photo is of a dismantled vintage Crosman model 262 CO2 powered 177 caliber airgun that I have owned since it was first introduced by Crosman in 1991.
About a year ago it developed a problem where it wouldn't retain the charge when a CO2 powerlet was inserted into the CO2 chamber. After disassembling it, I discovered that the seal that is part of the power valve assembly that the CO2 powerlet sits up against was leaking allowing the gas to escape.
With it being long obsolete Crosman no longer offer parts for this airgun so I turned to the Internet.
After some research I found a company in Ohio (Alliance Hobby) that supplies parts for airguns.
After ordering the seal required and receiving it, I set about to repair the rifle as seen here dismantled, the power valve seen at the bottom of the photo disassembled for replacing the seal.
