HT and Rubberduck Caddy
So I'm browsing the isles in Princess Auto, and I spot these welding rod storage containers on sale for 5 bucks.
Now I have said it before that I look at everything in mind as to what I can use it for other than it was meant for.
I realized as soon as I saw these very nice storage cases that they would be perfect for storing HT rubberduck antennas in amongst other things.
I purchased one and once I was back in my mobile, I discovered that my various HT's with antenna up top fit as well.
As noted in the photo they have a sealing gasket that makes them water resistant if not waterproof.
So if you like, you can find a similar product at your nearest welding supply outlet, if you don't have a Princess Auto outlet near you.
On another note.......I also have discovered that these containers are slick for storing a 225 gram bear spray canister in when the bear spray is stored.
If there were to be a accidental discharge of the canister, this container keeps the contents from doing you harm.
