Old School Shooter
Personally speaking, and out of all the various cameras that I own, Fujifilm has become one of my favorite camera brands, as their ergonomics, image quality, and lenses are fantastic.
Over the years I've mainly shot with Canon, Nikon, and Leica cameras. For the past 15-20 years or so its been Canon, my present Canon camera body a 5D MIII.
About two years ago I decided I'd like a mirrorless camera for those times that I wanted to lighten my load depending on what I planned on shooting.
After visiting camera stores and test driving the various makes and models of cameras, I pulled the trigger on a Fujifilm mirrorless body the X-E3 with lens as it felt good in the hand, had a retro feel to it reminding me of the classic Leica M6 rangefinder film camera that I'd owned at one time.
Since acquiring the X-E3, I found that I was using my Canon 5D MIII with it's full compliment of lens less and less. In fact for the last 8 months my Canon 5D MIII has not left the house except for the times I needed a longer lens than I own with the X-E3 possibly while shooting wildlife photos.
Beyond that my Fuji cameras are the cameras that I leave the house with everyday.
Now you may ask how my Fuji cameras with their APS-C sensors can compete with my Canon 5D MIII and its full-frame sensor with a portrait lens mounted up front. I admit if I was shooting a lot of portraits of people, the full frame sensor equipped 5D MIII wins the day.
However the Fuji X-E3 is quite capable especially if the 55-200 (80-300 full-frame equivalent) seen mounted in place is used when shooting portraits. Open it right up, and its shallow depth-of-field blurs the backgrounds quite nicely.
The Fuji X-E3 has become my favorite camera for shooting moving subjects handheld with the 55-200 lens and its 5 stop image stabilization advantage as well as it’s fast linear autofocus system.
Fijifilm cameras and their jewel like lens are a joy to hold and shoot with. Gotta love it.
This photo was shot with a Fuji X70 a great camera for street photography and my favorite carry when out roaming through the grasslands with my Bow.
