Mounts R Us
I recently built a camera mount allowing for positioning a camera at the top of a 30' mast that mounts on the rear of my mobile.
In this photo you see one of my Fuji cameras mounted in place on a Manfrotto mount that I found in my junk drawer, and with the necessary modifications, it has now been re-purposed in it's new role.
I am able to position one of three different cameras up top of the mast, depending on whether I wish to use a DSLR allowing for different lens to be used, the camera controlled with an RF wireless controller mounted in the hot-shoe, the handheld remote controlling the camera.
In this photo My Fuji X-E3 mirrorless camera with a 23mm prime lens mounted in place is controllable for live-view, touch-screen focusing, aperture control, shutter speed control, ISO, flash, well everything the camera can do, including stills or video controlled from my iPhone, the Fuji app seen running on the screen.
If you own a Fuji camera, and are having difficulty getting it connect to your phone running the Fuji app, be aware that you need the latest firmware upgrade to make it happen.
Beyond that its as simple as placing your camera in 'wireless connect' mode, and opening the Fuji app on your phone, at that point it takes approximately 10 seconds to connect with the 'live view' screen seen as in my insert photo. Make sure 'wifi' is enabled on your phone.
