Making Contacts In Different Ways
While I was working 40 meters with my portable setup consisting of my Yaesu FT-897D and my 10-60 meter vertical set up on frozen ground.
The Kenwood TS-480HX mounted in my mobile and paired with the SCS Tracker, was keeping me connected to the network on 30 meters via RPR HF APRS.
At the same time my APRS weather station ABWX mounted in the cargo bay of my mobile, was also connecting to the FM APRS network, and displaying the weather for my location just south of the ghostown of Dorothy AB.
