3 - It's all in the Coil
If you expand this photo, you can see the different parts that make up the tap-coil, including the 12 gage tinned buss wire wound at 6 TPI (turns per inch), and the wander-lead with the tap locations on the coil.
The wander-lead is in the 40 meter position on the coil, and the tap-point above it is for 10-30 meters, with the lower tap-point for the 60 meter band.
I have extra tap-clips needing to be added to the coil, but I just haven't got around to it yet since building the additional tap-clips in my shop.
All bands are resonant, no tuner required, although the whip must be adjusted for length in some of the high bands.
Located at the upper end of the mast segment attached to the lower section of the coil, is the guy-line ring for attaching the quick-disconnect Dacron guy-lines.
The core running through the center of the coil is machined from white Delrin, RF transparent on HF.
The 6 tuned 17 foot ground radials seen to the right of the coil, attach to the coaxial box not seen here, but is located at the bottom of the mast assembly when the antenna is assembled and standing up.
