The Radio Camp
Every once in a while I would step back from playing radio, and just step back from my radio and look around at the phenomenal views that surrounded me..
If you expand the photo and look close just over my 897, You can see highway 22 located in the Oldman River valley 800 meters beneath my location and about 5 kilometers away.
Highway 22 in this area is referred to as the Cowboy Trail, and with good reason, as some of the most historic ranchs in southern Alberta are located here.
The famous Waldron Ranch is located nearby, and you may ask how big it is.
The Waldron covers 65,000 acres, and if your driving highway 22 you will be on the Waldron for 30 kilometers as you travel south towards the Crowsnest Pass from the junction of highway 520 about 3 kilometers from where I'm set up on this day.
