In this photo, I've set up my portable station on a high ridge in the Rockies, and with the wind a factor on this day, I have my manpack guyed to the ground with a combination of 550 paracord and tent pegs.<br />

This works quite well, with the 20' vertical antenna moving about in the wind, but not going anywhere.<br />
