As good as it gets, as hiking in to this location meant carrying a minimal of equipment.
Still, I have pretty much all I needed, including the makings for tea, and a snack for those times there is a lull in the action on the bands.
Well conditions weren't all that great on this day, but I did make contacts, and that's the main thing, and this made the day a success.
Did I tell you that I love this rig, my FT-897D running on internal batteries.......well I do, as its a terrific transceiver being an all-mode radio, and having a very rugged build, perfect for operating under adverse conditions.
